A Fish Can Breathe Out Of Water For A Short Time

A fish can breathe out of water about as long as you can hold your breath.  Carefully handle catches, especially during summer months.  When releasing a fish, hold it in the water while removing the hook.  If taking a picture, keep your trophy in the water until the photographer is ready.  Hold only a few seconds.  Release safely so you can catch it again.  Good fishing!
