Is your pond on pace to reach 2012 harvest goals?  Annual bass harvest should total 20 pounds per surface acre.  Please don’t risk bass overpopulating and over eating the food chain.  It’s among the most common problems we see.  The result will be stunted fish.  Crappie and catfish also compete with bass and should top fish fry menus.  We’re entering the midpoint of this year’s growing season.  Bass must consume eight to 10 pounds of forage to gain one, single pound.  Remove bass 14-inches and under so others can feed at will and maintain healthy growth rates.
