Invasive vegetation can appear almost out of nowhere and turn your pristine pond into a grassy jungle.  Mother Nature may introduce sprouts or seeds via uncontrollable migrating water or waterfowl.  One potential source of contamination you can manage is visiting boats and/or trailers.

If you and friends are using boats in multiple lakes, take a moment to inspect equipment after each trip.  Before leaving the lake, drain all water from the boat, including the engine, bilge, live wells, and bait buckets.  Wash the boat and trailer with hot, soapy water from a high-pressure sprayer in a commercial carwash.  Open compartments, allow the boat and trailer to completely dry for a week before launching in another pond.

Call us if vegetation is limiting enjoyment of your pond!
